Sainath Ramanathan joined ARCHIMED in 2022 as a Partner bringing over 15 years of private equity experience in Asia.
He began his career in Strategy Consulting in India, first at Accenture and then at the Monitor Group. In 2006, Sainath joined 3i as a part of the founding team of the growth investing business in India. Through his time at 3i, Sainath built a long-term relationship with several of the ARCHIMED Partners. Post his stint at 3i, he joined ICICI Venture in India where he was a Partner until 2022.
Sainath has completed a number of transactions across healthcare, consumer, business services and media and entertainment sectors. Over the course of his investment career, Sainath has worked with several businesses through the cycle of investment, managing growth and eventual exit through IPO or strategic sale.
Sainath currently serves as a non-executive Director on the Boards of a Spanish API and Nutraceuticals business, SUANFARMA, and an Italy-based aesthetic medicine company, WiQo.
Sainath is based in Singapore and leads the efforts of ARCHIMED in the Asia Pacific Region.
