Sustainability & Impact
Five Health Objectives
ARCHIMED’s funds aim to invest in companies focused on improving health outcomes. Both the Sustainability & Impact and Investment teams collaborate to guide companies in developing CSR and ESG Roadmaps upon acquisition. ARCHIMED’s funds target investments that contribute to human, animal, or environmental health, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals #3 (Good Health and Wellbeing) and #9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) using ARCHIMED’s five Health Objectives as an evaluation framework.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY DISCLOSURES
We established our five Health Objectives framework as a lens to determine each investment’s contribution to solving global healthcare challenges, as defined by internationally recognized bodies such as the UN and WHO. Selecting the Health Objective(s) that each deal contributes towards enables impact potential to be identified from the outset, and serves as the basis from which the Impact Thesis is developed.
HEALTH CHALLENGES ADDRESSED BY OUR COMPANIES
“ARCHIMED was pivotal to triggering our ESG journey, which has enabled DIESSE to align its operations and processes with the 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The nature of what we do, healthcare for patients, and our commitment to a better world have naturally led us to change our status to become a Benefit Corporation. Moreover, ARCHIMED shared with us the vision to build the DIESSE Biotech Campus, the most advanced and fully sustainable R&D and production biotech plant for the In Vitro Diagnostics in Europe.”
Massimiliano Bogetti
CEO, DIESSE
“With the support of ARCHIMED, so far, we have trained ~4k healthcare professionals through the Natus Academy and have screened or treated over 90 million patients. By providing high quality medical equipment for diagnosis and screening, we are enabling better safety for patients while also enhancing efficiency for hospitals, drastically improving health outcomes at both levels.”

Natus Sensory Division, Chief Human Resources Officer
Contribution to SDG targets
Beyond assessing the positive impact of the products and services of our healthcare companies through these five health objectives, we also consider their operational practices to ensure their activities are being carried out in line with the highest standards of ESG performance. In this way, we can establish priority initiatives that are being deployed that tangibly contribute to the UN SDGs 3 and 9.
Through our investments, we aim to promote healthy lifestyles and support the wellbeing of all people of all ages. ARCHIMED seeks to provide a spotlight on the companies and solutions that are best positioned to address SDG 3 via our five Health Objectives.
